Both liberals and conservatives tell others how they have to live and act. They then use the government to set fines and jail time to make you be who they want you to be whether you like it or not.

If you are not harming anyone you should be allowed to associate with whomever you want to, be whoever you want to be, and do whatever you want to do.

There is increasing tension in this country between two groups of people who each think that their solution is the right solution and they are trying to prove it by getting there solution passed as law at the national level. The problem is that there is never only one good solution for any problem that will make everyone happy in a nation of almost 300 million people.

Fortunately it is human nature to seek out others that are like yourself and you should find the community that shares your beliefs and values. You and your neighbors can then find the best solution to your problems that will be the best fit for your community. The best solution will always be the least expensive and the least intrusive and should be paid for from local tax revenues.

If your community’s solution does not harm anyone inside or outside of your community, and more than 75% of the people in your community agree with the solution, then there is no reason that any higher level of government should be allowed to disagree and should cede jurisdiction and reimburse your community for any services that are no longer needed from that higher level of government.

75% Supermajority Local Referendum:
Submit a proposal for a local law that clearly defines the problem, the proposed solution, and the costs in less than 100 (?) words. This law may not harm anyone inside or outside of the local community. If the law is approved by a 75% Supermajority at the local level it would supersede any associated law(s) or government services at any higher level of government and that government must compensate the local government for the cost of any law or service that was superseded.

The only reason that we now have to concern ourselves with problems in other parts of the nation is because we pay a significant portion of our efforts in the form of taxes at the national level. This forces us to judge others that live very different lives in very different communities even though their problems do not really directly affect our daily lives. We must bring our laws and our taxation back to the local level and solve our community’s problems in a way that is best for our community.

A government employee’s opinion of Social Security reform should not carry much weight because every government employee has a very generous retirement package to fall back on that you may not have and job security above and beyond what most of us have. I do know that if I was given control of the 12.4% of my income, which currently goes into the Social Security system, I would have significantly more money at retirement than I could ever receive from the Social Security system.

Group rights violate the whole concept of individual rights and diversity if one group is given preference over another group or individual in the form of government provided services or compensation. If the rights provided to that group are a good idea then they should be given to all, if the rights fail if they are given to all then they should be given to no one. If one group is given rights that another group is not given it is still discrimination against the group or individuals that did are not allowed the same rights.

The overwhelming majority of the people in the United States are responsible people and are willing and capable of taking care of themselves and their families. The responsible people need to take a stand for their right to be independent and unburdened by the irresponsible people in the society. Don’t carry the irresponsible people, ask them to stand on their own, and only help those that are willing to help themselves.

If a local community wants to take over any service that is provided by a higher level of government or locally repeal any law against a victimless crime they should be allowed to do it in accordance with the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The local government should then be compensated for any costs associated with the services that were taken over and the laws that were repealed in accordance with the 5th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Simplify government and start to remove the laws from the books that you, and your community, do not agree with no matter what level of government that law is at. It is time for the moderates to speak their minds and to simplify every level of government. Do not let others tell you what will make you happy.

Tax cuts are layoffs for the government. When a private company faces a downturn in the economy they must layoff workers and become leaner and stronger to prevent them from getting to far in debt. Workers that are weak at one job can become strong workers at a job that they want to do and they will be happier and eventually make more money at it.

During strong times in the private sector we should cut taxes to either maintain tax revenue to outpace spending to prevent the government from expanding or we should cut taxes to reduce the size of government and shift workers from the public sector to the private sector.

One Law Goals

The One Law: Never harm another for your benefit or pleasure

Most of people in the United States already agree with and live by The One Law most of the time. This has made the United States the greatest society in the history of the world. People of every race, ethnic background, religion, political party, and economic class, who live in both urban and rural areas across this great nation, already believe in The One Law.

The problem is that there will always be some people that feel that they should have the right to harm others, to get their way and to benefit themselves, and they have unlimited excuses that they will use to try to get away with it. In the United States our Constitution gives us the freedom of association and we should use this freedom to our advantage. If you knew that everyone in your community believed in and lived by The One Law then you would have the greatest possible life for you, your family, and all of the people in your community. To achieve this you must work with your family, friends, and neighbors to implement The One Law in your community. The following is a simple plan to achieve this goal.

1. Decide if YOU agree with The One Law and are willing to live by The One Law. This really is the hardest part of the solution but if you can complete this first step your life is guaranteed to be better. The One Law must be considered before every decision you make or action you take. It can be hard at first but you will eventually find that following The One Law makes your decisions easier and you will be confident in the results of that decision or action.

2. Determine whether your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and everyone that you meet in your community every day agree with The One Law. Associate with those people who agree with The One Law and don’t associate with those that don’t agree with The One Law. Never try to force someone to agree with The One Law because if they do not believe it in their heart you will never be able to force them to believe. Let those who violate The One Law associate with others that violate The One Law and they will get what they deserve.

3. If you find that most of the people in your community do not believe in The One Law then find a community that does and join that community.

4. Ask your representatives in the government to follow The One Law. If they will not then vote them out of office and replace them with representatives that will follow The One Law.

If the people who believe in The One Law will join together in this noble venture we can lead by example and make the United States the best country it can be.

The job of a politician is to propose solutions that are best for all of their constituents, not what is best for you. Politicians and the government should never harm one person or group to help another person or group.
