Both liberals and conservatives tell others how they have to live and act. They then use the government to set fines and jail time to make you be who they want you to be whether you like it or not.

There is increasing tension in this country between two groups of people who each think that their solution is the right solution and they are trying to prove it by getting there solution passed as law at the national level. The problem is that there is never only one good solution for any problem that will make everyone happy in a nation of almost 300 million people.
Fortunately it is human nature to seek out others that are like yourself and you should find the community that shares your beliefs and values. You and your neighbors can then find the best solution to your problems that will be the best fit for your community. The best solution will always be the least expensive and the least intrusive and should be paid for from local tax revenues.
If your community’s solution does not harm anyone inside or outside of your community, and more than 75% of the people in your community agree with the solution, then there is no reason that any higher level of government should be allowed to disagree and should cede jurisdiction and reimburse your community for any services that are no longer needed from that higher level of government.

Submit a proposal for a local law that clearly defines the problem, the proposed solution, and the costs in less than 100 (?) words. This law may not harm anyone inside or outside of the local community. If the law is approved by a 75% Supermajority at the local level it would supersede any associated law(s) or government services at any higher level of government and that government must compensate the local government for the cost of any law or service that was superseded.

The only reason that we now have to concern ourselves with problems in other parts of the nation is because we pay a significant portion of our efforts in the form of taxes at the national level. This forces us to judge others that live very different lives in very different communities even though their problems do not really directly affect our daily lives. We must bring our laws and our taxation back to the local level and solve our community’s problems in a way that is best for our community.

Keep your opinion within your realm. The size of your realm will depend on how good of a person you are and on how much of a benefit you are to others. If you are a bad person and you harm others then you should be shunned and alone, and your opinion should matter to no one.

A person should never be pre-judged by their gender, race, religion, looks, etc. just like every good diversity trainer teaches but I also think that a person should only be judged for actions that they take that harm others and not be judged for actions that only harm themselves.

The Looney Left and the Rabid Right must be kept in check by both major parties because in the United States it is the Moderates that win the elections and if they see that either of major parties is allowing its radicals to determine policy they will shift to the other party.

A government employee’s opinion of Social Security reform should not carry much weight because every government employee has a very generous retirement package to fall back on that you may not have and job security above and beyond what most of us have. I do know that if I was given control of the 12.4% of my income, which currently goes into the Social Security system, I would have significantly more money at retirement than I could ever receive from the Social Security system.

It is time for the citizens to be given the choice to opt out of any government services that they do not want to receive and seek better service in the private sector at a lower cost.

Instead of polling why not establish a database that holds voluntarily completed political and economic position papers for a wide cross section of the population.

Hillary Clinton wants Howard Dean as the chairman of the DNC and the public face of the Democratic party because compared to him she looks downright conservative (especially with her political makeover of late). She will appear to the average Democrat voter as the person to save the party from the Looney Left when in reality she is just the Socialist that she has always been.

Socialist – Someone who believes that the government can make better decisions with their earnings than they can.
Free Marketeer – A person that believes that they can make the best decisions for themselves but must be responsible for the consequences of their actions.

Group rights violate the whole concept of individual rights and diversity if one group is given preference over another group or individual in the form of government provided services or compensation. If the rights provided to that group are a good idea then they should be given to all, if the rights fail if they are given to all then they should be given to no one. If one group is given rights that another group is not given it is still discrimination against the group or individuals that did are not allowed the same rights.

The overwhelming majority of the people in the United States are responsible people and are willing and capable of taking care of themselves and their families. The responsible people need to take a stand for their right to be independent and unburdened by the irresponsible people in the society. Don’t carry the irresponsible people, ask them to stand on their own, and only help those that are willing to help themselves.

If a local community wants to take over any service that is provided by a higher level of government or locally repeal any law against a victimless crime they should be allowed to do it in accordance with the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The local government should then be compensated for any costs associated with the services that were taken over and the laws that were repealed in accordance with the 5th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
